Car is a 2003 XC90 D5, originally a 160bhp (something like that) and it's been tuned a few years ago via an ECU upgrade. However it's now completely and utterly gutless (about 130bhp on the rolling road).
Does anyone know of a reputable D5 tuner who definitely does a stonking job? Also what kind of power can be wrung out of the D5?
Cheers. :)

The "obvious" choice maybe RICA remap, reliably can tune the 163bhp D5 to approx 195+ BHP and good torq hike, which will make it feel a lot less gutless, Although is is a heavy beast.

03 model will have the 163bhp/340Nm D5 and the EuIII version, same as V70 P2.
iirc
RICA up to 226bhp/470Nm on "sport" map or a lower rated "standard" map 198bhp/420Nm.
MTE to 197bhp/420Nm.
Others include Upsolute, Autologic (?).
Redbrick has had RICA on his V70 D5 and I'm sure will have comments to make.

Have you had everything checked out on the standard motor? Turbo giving the right boost, injectors clean, adequate fuel pressure etc?

It's not mine so I'm not 100% sure of exactly its service history, but it has recently been serviced by the same garage who does mine - and the chap who runs the place is more thorough than CSI Vegas! I'll check though. :)
