I've treated the old girl to a couple of prezzies today.I've been after the Porsche big brake kit for ages and also wanted to update the headunit, so now have a 7" double din motorised dvd unit in the hole that had an Alpine ipod unit in before.

WOW!

They look really good, ive always thought that mine needed bigger/better brakes. Looks really good, but i think red calipers will cash clash with my saffron!?!??!?!

A friend is bored with Volvo's so i gave him my uprated ebc 302mm discs and yellow stuff pads (£250 worth) in exchange for the Porsche setup which included him fitting everything for £440.

Damn that's a good price!

From what i've heard, an all-in price, including upgrading discs and pads would cost somewhere over £1200..

Thanks Dave. Only problem i've had with the brakes is they squeal like hell when you apply them at crawling pace, eg puling up behind someone or stoping in front of the driveway lol. It's quite a common problem with the Porsche setup. Did some research and Porsche make some anti squeal shims for this particular model. Ordered the shims up last week £35 for the set ( 4 pot calipers so 8 shims in total) which i thought was a bargain and having them fitted Monday morning. Hopefully squealing will be reduced dramatically. Performance wise, they are fantastic compared to the 302mm set up they replaced.

Hows your silver beauty doing?, put a t5 engine in yet lol .

ps, you need to change your signature.
