intercooler spray

i've already toyed with this idea before but never actually got around to finishing it off. What are peoples opinions on intercooler sprays either water or nitrous? The basic system i'd half done was simply a spare screen washer pump & 2 screen jets pointing over the intercooler. I know Subaru use water spray on some Impreza's but is it worth bothering. Now that i'm just about to start the cars rewire i can tie into another system i'm fitting & have an automatic pump to spray on WOT but not convinced its worth the effort (especially as i won't be able to use the system at Santa Pod which is where BT will be running up most of her miles from now on)

for you, unless you're planning on a few trips to a germainc racetrack, I'd save the weight... Like you say, drag racing is gonna take up most of the old girls work from now on....
