Strange noise :-(

I bought my car in October and for the last couple of weeks ive been hearing a niggling little biatch of a noise on the NSF area :(

It had a lot of money spent on it by the previous owner including, wishbones, brakes, drop links, and C.V. joints.

The only way i can describe it is, work with me on this one ;) it sounds the same as 2 tyres rubbing together :sorry:

Every now again theres a knocking there as well :mad111:

Any ideas ?

Im hoping its not too expensive after just buying wheels.

My first thought was the strut top mounts but when i put the T5R springs on the origonal shockers they " looked " ok, im no expert so maybe it could be them :confused:

when is it happening. is it only on full lock or in straight lines as well

Its when driving over bumps / Pot holes mate :D

Im hoping its the lower as they are only £16

If it's any help I was getting the loud banging noise and occasional knocking at all speeds over pot holes and speed humps. I replaced the Drop links @ £8.79 each and all is cured now.

Droplinks were new 3k ago, unless they are made of rubber bands i cant see them being shot now :D

I dont know i might just replace all top mounts, upper and lower and see what happens, Trade prices are a wonderful thing ;)
