eeeerrrmmm how to descride them.....
4 letters......SHI & i think the last letter was a T.
a single gear variomatic......less power than an electric drill,
powered by 2 big rubberbands underneath........awful car.
other than that they are quite good.lol

my dad has a 300 series with the lakky band transmission. it was a bitch to get right and maintain. best thing that happened to it was when it was scrapped.

Hard to believe my little '89 360GLE 2.0 came from the same factory. Was a brilliant car and the reason I now have my T5. Bought it for £130,MOT'd it 3 months later and it went through without so much as an advisory. Fond memories...

i had an early 343 with a factory lpg conversion..loved it!!...if yer gonna go for a daf, think the one to have is the marathon coupe thingy..actually quite rare and sought after!!

I regularly drove my Grandad's 86 (new shape) 340DL. It was a cracking car and felt really solid and sound, plus the heater would melt my face - it was so powerful! There are few cars these days that are as well built as the 300 series.
