Right on the rolling road at awesome in january my car was down on power only making 217 at the wheels with the rica 304 on.
I thought it was the timing as the power was dieing at 4k but after checking the timing its spot on so i decided to do a compression test to see if there is any wear in the clyinders all 5 clyinders were exactly the same at 12.5 bar.
On looking at the plug clyinder 1 and 4 were a pinky coulour ive never seen that before and the other clyinders spark plugs were a white crusty colour like if you have a leak on the hose for a radiator and you get the white build up on the jubilee clip.
So my thoughts now are fuel starvation whith my best bet bieng the injectors not flowing propley.
Any thoughts or help would be much apperciated.
thankyou pete

What would be the point in that?, with nothing more than a remap and blues it would run rich, wouldn't it?. Pete, get your injectors over to Jimithan, or order a set from him, he'll be able to check yours and see if they're working properly or not.

I believe its the 225lph ? Part number wise no idea lol.

Which should give you plenty of scope for further mods fuel delivery wise :)

Again pete spesh is the man to ask or maybe al115 :)

Any thoughts about why the RR guys did not pick up on the reason behind it? Presume if you were handing over a wad of cash you might expct them to tell you it was leaning out (or whatever) at some stage or was it just a power run "for the record"?

To be more helpful - check your ignition leads and get in touch with Jimathan on here (seconding TC's suggestion)- he can get your injectors checked over. Its not expensive and he does an excellent service all round.

Worst case is it could be head gasket but I would have thought you would have evidence of water loss as well. If it was h-g affecting power that much you would expect it to get much worse quite quickly. Does not sound like thats the case here?

You could try swapping injectors around - 1/2 and 4/5 would work.

Suggest you dont waste time changing for a different TYPE of injector or remap etc. until you have fixed the underlying problem. You risk smothering the evidence.

Good luck. Am reading responses with interest as I have a similar problem and just thinking about posting a request for advice.

If anyone can quote a price for a Walbro pump then I'd be gratefull, mine needs a pump. I missed out on a good one off a low mileage car on ebay the other day, I missed out by 50p, it went for £5.50..gutted.
