Common problem ?

Ive recently noticed that my fuel gauge stalls about the 5 gallon mark and stays there for a couple of days, then suddenly dives to about 2.5 gallons :confused:

Is this a common fault ?

Would a later fuel tank sender from a classic V70 work with an 850 ?

Ive heard their a bit more accurate.

Its probley a fault with the sender there not very expensive off ebay other than that give rufe a call

yeah, mine stalls at the 15 gallon mark for about a week then dives to 2 gallons.

Ive tried to get it out to have a look at it but cant get it past the lip :confused:

you will have to disconect the wires

Did do pete, then unscrewed the top but couldnt get the top out :mad:

it does look a little tight it must be the G forces thats shoved the tank back lol i would check the straps and see if there is any movement in the tank if it cannot be lifted up

I'll check when i go back in tomorrow, theres a breakers near me that are breaking a V70 so i'll ask them what they want for the sender while i have mine all out :D
