I took the win: 15.06@154.29kmh

The guy was a bit hacked off when his 400hp BMW with a 100hp shot of NOS got trounced by a fully loaded family estate car with only a mbc mod...:B_thumb:

Thanks to my lovely partner for catching this moment on video!

yep that thing should have destroyed me; 11 second motor...that is why I gloateth hugely lol

I was gonna ask the same thing about NOS and the T5. I would imagine it'd probably bend rods, melt pistons and cause general mayhem to the bank account!

You can argue that it runs things cooler - however too much is bad for your head. As it is not road legal - it's an expensive mod.

its always nice when that happens, well done. So did you get into the 14's during the weekend?

i was never brave enough to press the button for the shot into the engine tho lol, it may be back on the mods list soon as a certain person keeps copying my mods list :bullwhip:

PS my insurance company were quite happy to cover me when i declared the nitrous, the only rule was it had to be turned off on the road

Thanks- twas quite nice!

No 14s- waited around for 6hrs on Sunday and didn't get a run- well piste off!
Was so close to it as well, 6/100ths of a second *sobs*
Anyway, due to the rubbish organisers of the event I'm going to go to Germany next time- maybe later this month

as NOS isn't intended to be used under 3krpm i don't think the bending con-rods will be an issue aslong as you don't run a silly high amount of it. My main concern would be fuelling for several reasons.

if you take the fuel take-off needed for the nitrous from the fuel rail how will the injectors be affected once you press the button & the extra pressure is loaded onto the regualtor, will they be forced to run higher possibly making it all run too rich & wasting some of the extra power

will the fuel pump be able to manage with the extra supply, you could run a twin pump system dirtectly from the tank like my mates VW but will involve specialist work on the fuel tank & the expense of another pump & pressure regulator just for the nitrous

You're clairvoyant...how'd you know that was exactly my intention!!!
Actually I am going to try and get a RR set up; only problem is a serious lack of facilities in France- it's a dyno desert!

Once I get rid of my house in the UK I'll have a nice wedge burning a massive hole in my pocket...so NOS could be a happening thang along with an engine rebuild/ oil cooler for the autobox

nitrous is totally road legal, insurance companies such as aidrian flux will cover it no problem!

ive had two cars both fitted with wizards of nos kits and both where running 50bhp with good results, the main problem is badly fitted amercain kits with inferior solenoids.

the wizards of nos stuff is the best you can get and offers a much smoother delivery with its unique pulsoid design!

with a progressive controller 100bhp of nitrous is easily acheiveable on a t5!

my old mk3 astra sport with c20xe engine conversion and 50bhp of nitrous used to embarass focus st's!
