anyone know were the speedo pulse wire is on gearbox
problem i have is speedo is not always working think its the usual abs problem works most of time but stops all of a sudden switch ignition off and back on its works again for a while
not normaly a problem except its a taxi so meter conected to pulse wire at back of radio when speedo stops this stops so meter stops not good im losing money
phoned local volvo in dublin about getting them to read codes they quoted
wait for it
2 hours labour
at 95 euro + vat per hour
just to read codes
THEY CAN STICK THAT WERE THE SUN DONT SHINE
so for time being i want to see if i can put meter direct onto pulse wire at gear box till i work out what im gonna do about speedo and abs
car is a 1996 850 t5 autobox

oh nearly bought another volvo tonight looked at a 1999 volvo s 80 2.4t
170000miles could have got it for 1800euros (any others i a found here are between 3500-4500) only reason i didnt was mileage need something a little less dont want to be buying another money pit would the s80 2.4t be faster or slower then my 850 t5
