help with boost please

hi everyone some help with my boost please it was hitting 1.1bar last week now it's droped to 0.8bar the only thing i've changed is i havent been putting any octane boost in would this cause the loss of boost or do i need to look deeper cheers all

Quick check of all the vac hoses maybe ;)

Although standard boost is 0.8 - 0.9 iirc

cheers cameron thats what i'm about to do after dinner i know the boost should be about 0.8 but ever since it had the 304 done it's always hit 1.1 it's funny how that little difference in numbers makes quite a difference on the road i really noticed it today

Mine was hitting 1.1 when i had the hlm 304 done :)

On the RR Day on sunday it was only 0.9 :confused:

Ive checked all the vac hoses and cant see anything, although i was running V power that day and on sunday i was using Sainsbury's Super 99 ron, maybe a slight difference.

cheers will do i'm gona get some octane boost as they dont sell any super down here and see if that gets it back up i'll let you know

The ECU will adjust the timing and boost levels depending on what grade of fuel you put in, so if your running plain unleaded which is 95ron then it will definatley have cut it back.

brilliant cheers tomcat it has made a difference before when i ran it on 95 but it just juddered at 70 in 5th then settled down never lost boost i'll go and get some love juice as i call it and see what it does at the worst it'll be a fun drive home testing it lol

standard boost should be 8-9psi, which is about 0.5-0.6bar
