Repainting P1 V70 Roof rails

Hi everyone,

Just fitted some roof rails from ebay over the weekend. Unfortunately they don't look as neat as I would like, has anyone successfully repainted their roof rails in either the same colour or a different colour?? Wasn't sure what they would look like in either body colour (turquoise), a dark matt silver, or the original grey/black.

Hi Stu, nice idea but they might stand out abit as no resprayer will ever get a perfect match because your paint fades. Also what about the risk of scratching and peeling? I wouldn't bother. Roof rails are roof rails and they are meant to be dark gray, so why not leave them dark gray?

you could try Maguires trim detailer. I use it and it makes my rails darker and look much better....worth ago before you shell out for a respray.

I turned mine black with kiwi shoe polish. It took about 20 layers coz of the surface, but they look pukka now....

How about going chrome?? Like the new range of Audi estates. Looks pretty good on the Audi's!
