Will this OBD II CABLE work with my car ?

It says VAG group but i think the software needs to be downloaded.

I just want the cable.

Lee, not sure about the cable but remember the 850's aren't fully OBDII compliant.

tomcat is right....as i found out when i got the plx device at over £500 & it didnt work on mine as its not fully compatable.....not impressed lol..
but the 16 pin plug should fit......the software shouldnt affect the plug

Have a loo for the VOLFCR software as I think you may be able to use a few functions to access codes.

My friend has the same thing for his Saab Turbo, seems to work pretty well.

dont quote me on this but,... cable should work its only hardware transmitting the data across to software,.. and its not entirely true that all 850's arnt fully obdII.... both of mine early N-reg and late P-reg have OBDII socket on center console... now the n-reg isnt compatable it wont read with any of my software,.. although my p-reg did produce live data results. i didnt get around to fully testing the software at time. but im sure P-reg 850's can be read, jus as a V/S series onwards.

i must be lucky lol. really though,.. my Nreg wont communicate with the software ive got...the software reconises its there but wont communicate to the extent to use the program... but i tryed it on my Preg and software loaded up..reconised it an ran the software

diagnostics system works on mine aswell,
but for some reason its not recognised as full obd11.
well not on this plx thing,even tho it states from 96 onwards lol.

Yeah mine is a P plate as well, First registered in 10/06 :)

The code reader in work connects to it no problem.
