Temp Problem rising with revs

I was driving back from Brum last night and i noticed when i put foot down a bit the temp would rise at the same time but if normal driving temp gauge would be steady at 3 oclock pulled over at srvices to check and bottom rad hose was stone cold am i right in thinking this is a thermosat related problem or an airlock ??? any help would be good cheers

hi mate,yeah sounds like a stat problem........
possible a blocked rad,but does sound more like stat lol

Thermostats arnt very expensive and its a very good point to start with
