Is anyone interest in an Essex meet.

I'd be interested mate, first question would be does the pub lend itself to a load of cars turning up for an unofficial show? Plenty of parking is essential so the cars can park together.
I'd be keen to pick peoples brains about the cars and see what other people have done, what works, what does nt etc.

Thanks for the quick responses to an Essex Meet.

The pub I found is the Black Lion in Althorne.
I spoke to the landlord last September to arrange an MR2 car meet and he was fine.
We never used this pub after all, but used one in Chelmsford instead, but personally, I liked the Black Lion as there is plenty of parking space, a garden for nice days and great roads near by.
We've tried the food as well and it's good.

Anyway, do you prefer weekday evenings, weekend evenings or weekend days?
Once we get this info, we'll get some dates up.
Also do we want a regular Monthly meet or just one off's?

Evenings are better in the week for me, but everyone's going to have a preference. Pub sounds ideal, so count me in, in principle.

I agree that everyone is going to have a different opinion,
so how does the 4th Wednesday of the Month sound (weekend meets + runs can be arranged from this Essex meet)
I'm sure there are plenty of club members around this South East area, so we should eventually in time build to some larger club meets...one step at a time!

Anyway, I'll start a list for this Month.
Just copy and paste the list and add your name.

I'd be interested in meeting up with a few locals, unfortunately I am on late shift that week so wouldn't be able to attend.

Erm, not sure how I missed this, because I'm sure I'd searched previously, but it would appear there's been Essex meets arranged before.........

Owing to missing the post about the North Weald Essex meet, this one is on hold until May...don't want to tread on other members toes.

Hi Mark I will try to make the 27th of May in Althorne, should not be too hard as I only live in South Woodham Ferrers.

Mongo has been very patient with me and has invited me to this Sundays meet at North Wield, I am going to try and get there but I have some preperation to do for Monday that I hope will not get in the way.
