View Full Version : Thump when changing to 4th Gear

My 1999 V70R AWD has developed a bit of a thump when changing to 4th gear, particularly on a trailing throttle. I recently had the front propshaft coupling and engine mounts replaced so doubt that is the problem. Auto gearbox fluid has been changed regularly.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Sounds like a sticking solenoid inside the gearbox. Does it hesitate on gear change and does it do it at nice gentle driving or hard acceleration? Need more info dude.
