so my t5 has been off the road now for smoe 13>14 months,,,maybe longer i just added up all ive spent on her and im even shocked!!
got some paint work,,,£350
lowerd on R springs £260 all in
bought redipped volans no tyres £350+70 delivery
R rear spoiler £70
got R front lip £150
new clutch ,gear box oil change,service light set,crank oil seals,boost pipe vac pipe,polly bushed top mount, turbo oil return leak fixed couple bushes elec window fixed,,£650
just talking to hamish going 280 map+induction kit costing me £250ish
still to buy 215,45 17 x 4 costing £220
just set deal fot 302 brake set up £120
then paint new front skirt n rear spoiler sure that will be another £150
going to do stage 0 tune up myself £180ish
then have to tax it!! woooo!
so still to spend six of that!! dont want to add it all up,,guess il have a great car tho!! the price of getting work done hurts,,

The tbh unless you spend very good money buying a top notch one most R's require wheel refurb and front lower spoiler repaint or replacement so that wouldn't really have saved you a great deal buying an R although it would have saved you the issues of having to source the relevant parts in the first place, although naturally for obvious reasons an R is the ultimate 850 ;)
