Hi Mr Hill. Mine is a saloon so not sure if the fittings are the same, here is a close-up of the bracket with the seat removed anyway. By the look of it sliding flathead screwdriver down the side will push the tab in & release it (sorry i must of been half asleep when i removed mine because i can't remember how i did it lol)

Yeah thats the correct way to do it you will need a flat head screw drive to push the clip back/in and a good thickness screw driver to lift the catch up if you remove the side bolster all will be revealed the side bolsters just pull out also with you changind body pannels and other stuff like seats it would be handy for you to get a haynes manual as they are pretty good with pictures
