Hey Everyone!

I know a few of you have fitted a dump valve on thier ME7's, just wondering how they are going? What dump value did you fit? Did you blank the internal one off?

Im considering it, but want to get everyones opinon!

Cheers
Rob

I fitted a Forge twin piston jobbie to my Me7 V70.

I didnt use the blanking but i did fit a one way valve to the vacuum
pipe to help keep the re-circ closed.

It has been on for the best part of 12mths with no issues.

The codes have been read by Volvo when i had Etm problems but that
showed nothing & a siftware update sorted the Etm problems.
The Volvo mechanic said he couldnt find any boost leaks either.

I have also had the codes read by a friend last Tuesday just out of
curiosity & still non have shown up.

Hope that helps.

Not very loud below 3k but wakes up from 4k & up which is nice around
town.

A little vid i just did on me mobile (other half holding it).

Best i can do stationary as my Me7 will not rev past 4k whilst stationary
but you shoud get the idea.

Snoop, your MAF's unplugged mate ;)

All's you need now is a good induction kit

I didnt think DV's worked well with ME7's???? :shifty:

Lol - the Maf was un-plugged to see if it was working as the car was running
rough. The car ran 100% better so a new Maf was sourced.

I have a K&N fitted which gives a subtle increase in induction roar but a
better setup is on the cards.

Had no problems with my Me7 so far so fingers crossed it will stay that way.

Seems to be on and off, some people have problems others dont, thus the reason for this thread! :)

iv'e got a bailey twin piston on my me7
but iv'e tried a bovus maximus twin trumpet dump valve and its loud if pointing to the ground.
i recommend a bovus maximus if you can afford it as its the loudest ive come accross
and on my calibra turbo it actually gets people screaming when i dump as i go past :D

i cant seem to upload my pic? the url should be ok. i has been said that my DV is on the wrong side, ie: hot and cold! all turbo work on my car was done by a cosworh mechanic so i wuld say its probably correct!
