On my 850 T5 I have orange injectors, my pressure regulator has a vacuum pipe nipple on it which is connected (if my memory is right) to the vac tree.
Why has a V70 fuel rail (pre ME7) (white injector) got a pressure regulator with no vac nipple? If I change the injectors from orange to white will I need the V70 regulator & plug the vac tree vac feed off? or use the injectors & leave my original regulator in place?
I can't understand or know why the same engines have a different regulator.

The V70 engine has a fuel pressure regulator above the O/S drive shaft, it relies on vacuum in the MAF to turbo pipe to alter fuel pressure. The fuel return line is mounted on the FPR. The part you are looking at on the V70 rail is an accumulator.

OK, white tops installed. Turned my key & zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz smooth as hell & quieter! Took it out for a mild spin & wow!! The car is smoother, more responsive & feels like it really means business!!!
