I had the spark plugs out today to give them a clean and found the the galleries under the plastic cover had oil in them, now, I'm assuming this is condensed vapour because I don't see any way oil could leak up there. Does this mean my crankcase ventilation system is blocked or is there somewhere oil could leak from?

The ususall suspect is the oil seal on the filler cap, these are cheap to replace at only a couple of £'s from the main dealer.

Yep normally the oil filler cap's seal.

I stopped mine from doing it by simply taking off the cap and putting a flat screwdriver under the seal and lifting it off a bit all the way around, works a treat now!

yep i was the same with my old t5. also a common thing is that if you are a bit heavy handed and the oil goes over the filler neck when your pouring it in, it then slowly builds up under the cover and like the other boys mentioned the seal is the other usual suspect.. i think there a couple of quid. ask rufe he'll let you know
