I'd be more worried about the steel box you're using for an engine mount - Byeye fillings! pmsl.

Those wheels would suit a white P2V70 better than a tatty old 850 with most of it's interior missing...

BT's raised rear shock mounts turned up over the weekend, & think there could be some issues. There 50mm taller than my spacered mounts so she's another 2" lower, don't think theirs any suspension movement on the back now lol. Not sure whether to get some special shorter springs made to run her like that, or get some lower shock mounts made to raise her up a bit

i've got a company in mind who will be able to copy them to my spec, or i've got someone else who says he's got longer shocks which he's going to measure for me

instead of cutting up the new mounts i came up with this. I had some M10 couplers so tried them on the end of the shock, cut some threaded bar (have ordered some proper M10 studs) to length so now the shock is exactly 2" longer which is want i need :)

no not directly, the main effort is still getting her back on the road. But i do suspect she'll bend a rod the first time out, so i'm building up a collection of bits to make an engine up to swop-over.

you are correct, even tho i've already got the 90mm light-weight i'm still very tempted to swop. The main thing stopping me is whether the 2.4 uses a special block to allow the extra 3mm on the down stroke or i can get away with the normal 2.3 block

As for the diff I can see your logic in 1/4mile terms but as a road car I think you'll get a section 59 or an asbo just popping to the shops. Lol. It will have a terrible turning circle, I suggest the handbrake and a lot of wheelspin.

Lmfao.... Aw that was a low blow.. You never did show us a pic of your new compressor wheel or tell us where you got it from.
Theirs pictures here somewhere, I'll repost them when I get to the computer. The intake wheel was a group but via EddyP, the exhaust wheel was from eBay (& of a bit doubious quality)

no i've decided not to bother getting her on the road till i've got a new engine built-up, she'll only bend the rods the first time out otherwise. Buying reliable cars i end up having to fix the Yank 5hit all the time lol

working on them makes me more glad i'm staying well away from one myself lol. To lengthen the Grand Voyager they've literally just cut the floor/chassis & bolted a bit in the middle, no wonder it flex's lol

does make for a comfy ride, & quite good handling as only the front rolls on the corners while the rear stays flat lol

we've decided the strongest part of the Voyager is the removable rear bench seat, you need a forklift to move it. Think it goes from a 3 star ncap rating down to a 2 star if the seats aren't in lol

after many months & much bother the turbo finally came off. Couldn't resist but strip the turbo apart & feel alot more confident in the aftermarket exhaust wheel now i've seen it actually fits lol. Just need some circlip pliers now to take the intake side off

Pete's quote :) http://www.vpcuk.org/forums/showthread.php?51006-Holy-moley&highlight=

Holy moley
As some of you will know I didn't run the car at the weekend due to a boost problem with the boost bouncing at any thing over 3/4 into the white on the dash gauge I didn't want to do any thing else as my boost gauge hasn't turned up, enough was enough last night when the supplier said it would be the beginning of july now so I decided to replace the new kangwa actuator for my original one I was going to purchase a forge one but they didn't have any instock so went for one of them so I took it a quick run and the boost issue had gone so pretty much the new actuator was crap a good way to waste £70 but never mind I then went and re fitted the blitz spec r ebc and took it for a run and god first run I hit 1.5 bar in 3rd the car went crazy spinning both wheels in 3rd I was very surprised at how well it pick up certainly shocked me and that's about it for now I need to adjust things to lower the boost and get the settings back correct on the spec r then off to get a custom map happy days.
