My question is there..... a few key areas/ methods we can use, whilst carring out general maintance, to see if we are losing any presure !

Thanks ...

To properly check for air leaks in the charge air system with the engine off:
Disconnect the air intake from at the engine side of the airbox leaving the MAF in place. Obtain a source of compressed air that'll maintain about 1bar. Fabricate an air-tight adapter to fill the air intake with compressed air (or buy the adapter from Volvo).
Pressurise the system. Expect to hear some leakage through the crankcase breather. Brush or spray on a soap solution where you suspect there may be leaks and look for bubbles.

To check with the engine running, you'll need to put it on a dyno, bring the engine up to boost, then look for bubbles.

My phase 2 engine just tells me if it has a boost leak. There's a pressure sensor just before the throttle body and if the reading there is different from the pressure leaving the turbo, it flags it up. Of course, you still have to go and look for the leak then.
Does your engine have that sensor too?
