Cars now going :frown: so trying to get some pennies back Remapped in march this year at a cost of approx £470 anyone interested ? make me an offer before it goes on ebay, has to be the best mod for any T5 and no its not because i,m selling it it actually works like it says on the tin car made 248bhp @ wheels at vt,s rolling road day and that was with a stuffed clutch!!!

What year S70? Motronic or ME7?

I assume you'll need a stock ECU in exchange?

I've got a couple of big bills approaching (major cambelt service spread over two months) so am pretty skint at the moment but would be interested in being even more skint if yours is a ME7 remap at the right price.

Yes and no really. As Alastair says, the VVT is a bonus. However, the fly by wire really P155es me right off. If you floor it, you're telling the car to go for it. Yes? Well with the whole fly by wire thing, it thinks about it first. Then, if it doesn't think you actually wanted to do that, it doesn't fully open the throttle. OK, so that last bit is the STC but it still thinks first before going WOT.

I like things simple. Fly by wire is trying to be too clever.

Adam what year did the fly by wire appear and is it fitted to all phase 2,s also what bhp can rica get out of a D5 (there i said it i know and i,m sorry) but you have to consider the old smokers , what sort of mpg can you expect from a rica,d D5?. All phase 2 are drive-by-wire. It started on late 1998 models.

The RICA D5 (quoted 198 bhp) actually gets over 200 bhp. There is also a sports tune available with 460 Nm and 215 bhp if you want to drive the car like a petrol all the time, but still return 40 mpg driving flat out.
