AS title, the dash closk on MY2000 P1 V70 'R' has started to reset itself to 0:00 no and again. First noticed it last week, so i reset time all ok for a couple of days then get in her one morning and 0:00. Have noticed it seems to reset most often but not always when starting car?
Have no other problems that are apparent.
Any ideas?
Cheers, Mark.

at a guess id say its losing its power or earth supply...
maybe ignition barrel is starting to ware,
if its starting to fail then maybe its losing the supply for a split second which is all the clock needs to go into reset.other than that then maybe pull the clock out to check connections.

Yeah thought it might be an earth fault. Hadnt thought of the ignition barrel will strip down at the weekend plus check connections to clock.
Thanks alot.

I had this in my '96 850. never solved it! only thing I put it down to was a fault in the clock unit - i did try another one which worked fine but it was a later version so didn't work properly with the early sensors. If you can, try another clock unit - once you've got the clock cluster out there is two screws (i think?!) that hold this unit in. Good luck!
