Dianeshop on ebay. I have three sets off them and faulty items are exchanged if parts break although you will have to wait cause they are in Hong Kong. I'd buy two sets in case one should play up.

Hello, i have bi-xenon on my 4x4 = 1 H4 bulb each side to make hi/lo, i have had them about 3-4 years and loved them, trouble was being high up and shogun mk.1 being known for bad headlights they blinded a few people, the bulbs i had were 80000k which is a sort of light blue, i went & bought another set-up with 10000 bulbs (darker blue) but still not happy as i can't see where i'm going unless i do 30mph.
Now i have my T5, i shall work on getting 60000k which are white with a slight blue to them in H1, but wonder if there's room for 4 ballast's to control 2 set's of H1's. I allway's wanted the rainbow effect like the cars made with them, you need projector's for that which are the proper way to do it but expensive. Now i'm low to the ground in the Volvo, i'm hoping to do 50w 60000k, but don't tell the wife as i have about 4 full set's in the bedroom that i've took apart/blown up.

Good luck choosing the hid's you want.

Kind regards, kevin.

6000k bulbs are white 8000k are blue. I have both and the whites provide more light.

Strictly speaking, to the letter of the law, I believe these retro-fit bulb kits are illegal to use...

The above is true but the DfT briefly dealt with the subject:

http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roadsafety/drs/hidheadlamps

Basically suggest that a car fitted with them should meet the same requirements as a new car that comes with them as standard(for safety I oresume). But it does say what you should do to fit them to your car to comply with regulations etc. Although the laws applied to new cars do not necessarily apply to older ones.

I have them on my s70 - had them aligned at my volvo dealer. Had no problems with MOT or police.

That's 6000k and below
12000k is purple
10000k is blue / purple
80000k is chav
60000k is white with a slight tinge of blue (NOT CHAV) better visability
50000k is pure white better visability
40000k is what you see on high end cars white/yellow better visability
30000k is yellow i think

the lower the k number=the brighter the light from them
the higher the k the darker the light from them
I had 8 in a truck + 10000k now, they were both rubbish as far as i'm concerned.

10000k is blue / violet
8000k is blue
6000k is white
5000k is white
