Bit o/t but thought you guys might appreciate this

I was struggling one day to get a pinion nut off an old mini gearbox as i couldnt stop the box flopping about (these nuts are done up TIGHT!), so decided to use my old ovlov to clamp it down:

She was a right beast, my 2nd 240, a GLT, so injected and pretty rapid, unfortunatly had to scrap her as the rear wheel arched were totally rusted away, and the engine finally gave up the ghost after some furious roundabout action one night.

my first 240 was a sky blue DL and by christ that was slow, would barely make 50mph! I used it as my fishing car, as i could just leave all my gear in there (once left a bucket of mackeral in there for a week, never got rid of the smell, or the flies...the thought still makes me yak)

Would love another, but have an 850 now as need a practical and reliable tow car for various hobbies etc, do miss the rwd though!! what were volvo thinking making the 850 fwd???

Anyway, all the best

Joe
