13G on a T5

[1996 850 T5]

Hi guys

As a temporary measure, Im considering throwing a spare 13G turbo i hve hanging around on my T5 whilst i sort out a replacement for the 15G.

what sort of psi should i wind this up to before i just start cooking the intake charge?

Anyone had to resort to this before? (i doubt it haha)

I think the 13G has a max pressure of around 17psi, but thats at really high revs (7000).

Unfortunately being my daily driver, I tend not to mess too much with her. Wish I could though (and had the money to LOL).

cheers bomb, tbh id be happy with 10psi or so, as per stock for now, so if its happily capable ill whack it on tomorrow night.

im guessing it will spool up quicker than the 15g too? but wont be quite as efficient higher up?

anyone care to hazard a guess as to what the drop in max power might be? 20bhp? more?

You might run a little rich too.....seeing as the map is meant for the air flow of the 15G.

Hopefully the difference wont be too much though :D might smell a little near the exhaust and your fuel economy (I know what the hell is that anyway lol) might suffer a touch :(

ill keep my eye on the wideband, but if anything might'nt it be a little lean low down? and maybe a shade richer uptop?

does anyone know when/where the ecu goes open loop for afrs? i think someone mentions the transition was @ 4500rpm? but might be making that up?

bomb, what do the v70 awd's boost to as std?

Open loop is at around 4k at WOT IIRC.

My 850 AWD seems to boost to around 3-4psi, but when I go WOT in 3rd, it goes up to about 5-6psi (from what I can fathom on the standard volvo gauge, so it could be 2-3psi, and 4-5psi respectively)
