Calipers from a 993 (called big reds mate although colours vary).
Setup overall is way steep!! lol
Al115 has got a full setup on offer though, so maybe he can help you out with part numbers etc?
You will also need the brackets from CJ in the US to make them fit (or make some brackets yourself of course)
I was under the impression that you would need 18" Original Pegs, although Dooby was at the Awesome meet running 17" Pegs with 3mm spacers :D

Hiya,

I used Porsche 993 Twin Turbo front calipers.

I got mine from eBay seller msroadrace in the USA but they don't have any at the moment.

I checked the part number of the ones I wanted and was given these (which are apparently equivalent):

928.351.423.03
928.351.424.03

Which are the same as:

993.351.425.10
993.351.426.10

This is for 'Big Reds' but painted black.

HTH, Pete

Oh go Porsche over that mate....I can't remember what wheels you had on your car as you pulled out of awesome before I really got there :(
The Porsche kit is apparently superior to any other kit out there....it might cost you a bit of dosh....but heck it is apparently worth it...suppose it depends what you want to do with the car too....if it is for road only then no point, any form of track use and definitely do it :D

looks like i'll have to do bit more research.

i had tethys on it, but just for temp, while my comets are being refurbed. ive also got a set of genuine pegs. so wheels aint a problem

With the brackets Al has (I swear he can hear me talking about him) you can mount any Porsche bracket I should think like a smaller Boxster one or similar.
The 993 calipers seem to have gone right up in price lately too, a recon ready to fit pair seem to be around the £450 mark, then S60R front discs, Porsche pads....don't expect to get it less than around £800 :(

well..........i know where there is a pair of 993tt fronts for £300 + vat :haha:

and as for the discs and pads, i already have discs and pads from a s60r. a customer of mine orderes them and then changed his mind cause he couldnt get down for the repairs. he paid for them, and has'ntt collected them, been nearly 3 years. ive called him, but no joy. original volvo aswell.

so really, i would be only buying the calipers, brackets and hoses.

Oh well in that case mate you are quids in (mutter random expletive here as some people have all the luck lol) If you don't want to change your wheels though I am sure some other calipers will go underneath (Porsche ones) like slightly smaller ones :)
Not sure the pads will do you any good btw as you need Porsche ones to fit the calipers :)

Think I may be able to source brand new calipers for £300 in red, yellow or carbon finish but need to make a couple of further calls.
