As mentioned in my previous thread; I am an idiot. I disconnected my HVAC and blew something in it. So my original panel is completely dead. A local Volvo guy got me a 2nd hand one and fitted it. All the heater and air con controls work fine. However the STC, Alarm Zone, and rear window/mirror heater buttons are all unresponsive. I have heard that someone could potentially reprogramme this unit. Is there anyone who can advise?
A new Volvo unit by the way is £475. Apparently these come out "blank" and do not need to be programmed. This says to me that maybe my unit could be reprogrammed/reset. One difference on the replacement unit I have is that there are the heated seat buttons, but I dont have these.
Alternatively how likely is it that someone who is good at Electronics could repair my original unit?
Any help would be really really appreciated. I just cant afford to fit a new unit.
