I know nothing about how everything really works so I apologise for the noobness!

The clutch is a-juddering when fully engaged which is never a good sign but on top of that, when revved highly, engagement of the next gear is incredibly stiff. I dont think the transmission is disengaging properly when the clutch is fully depressed, and 3rd gear is often accompanied by a bit of a grind. This is occuring when the 'box and lubricant has had time to warm up, although of course it does improve over the course of a drive, but only slightly. An additional concern is vibration through the car that occurs at about 1.5k rpm, could this be engine mounts having an impromptu party? My dad shook his head and started chuntering when i proposed the idea. This is a 1995 Volvo 850 2.0 20v chaps, with 145k and has been entirely problem free until just recently.

Thanks,

Daniel
