For the last 2 years I've had a Jetex stainless cat back exhaust on my car, to be honest I'm happy with it but not 100% impressed by its flow or noise.
So, off we (Snoop69 & moi) go to PowerSpeed custom exhausts nr Ashford, Kent for a little modification. Basically, the pipe joins the cat, then into a silencer, then more pipe, then another silencer then the tail pipe. I thought it would be better if the center silencer was removed, after taking it off the silencer was biggish & baffled.
I took 1 meter of T304 2.5 stainless pipe but sadly their bender didnt have the right kit on it for bending such a pipe, they offered to make it from 'bits', I wasn't bothered about that as I know their work is 110% quality whatever they do.
The result.....Here's some before & after videos, piccys by snoop69 to follow shortly. £50 paid for the work.

Chuffed & the Video's really don't do it justice.

I would of thought as standard the Jetex would of sounded more "5 pot like" but it sounds almost stock.

Sounds good now though, reminds me I must get a video of mine

Niles,
Can you be a bit more specific about the noise and flow. The reason I ask is that I was considering one for my 97 S70 T5.

Thanks

Before - very quiet unless thrashing at full chat, nice for town use
& with the induction kit,the re-circ was very audible.

After - i can only describe the sound as V8 like.A nice deep burble at
idle & a very nice growl from around 3k onwards.

On a motorway the burble is still there bit isnt offensive for long journeys.

Next stage will be Cat removal.

you're welcome. As for flow, its very small but it seems its just a little livelier and a teeny bit smother turbo spin up. As snoop said, next jobs (waiting for some decent weather) are fit new turbo, ported manifold , heat wrap the down pipe & decat it.
