i would be suprised if it was the evap system, if it is blocked you would be more likely get pressure at the rear of the car

the po has fitted a locking petrol cap, im wondering if this could be the problem as its s'posed to be a sealed system. think i will try and put the car on a lift in the morning and have a poke.

I get a whiff of fuel, you put a blow off valve or filter on without a remap?

I just get a general smell of it sometimes, no particular ocassions. i just thought yours might be cos its over fueling slightly? but if you've had a map with those mods on, would that have sorted the air/fuel mix?

got the standard filler cap, cars runs smoothly, just done the plugs, plug 4 was the worst, caked in black shiyte. All i will say is if i accelerate in 3rd to about 40/45 and let it rev down it lets out a couple of pops, is this normal?
