thinking of changing suspension, just wanna be sure its gonna fit. i realize i have to change the top mounts to non nivomats, and do springs at same time, anything else i should know???
will these shocks give better ride and handling even tho i do not intend to lower the car ??

Contrary to HLM's report, Koni do not make any full kit for the AWD, the only other 2 options are Intrax at £1000 and Ohlins at mega money,

The problem is the awd shock absorbers are different to standard ones, they have a bar for the lower mounting, and I think they're shorter too. See the pics below.

is this with reference the rear nivomat suspension bomb? if so is the front the same as other 850's,?

FSD need to go on all together I think as they damp at different rates otherwise.

Thanks, If I think I have got the balance about right, just need to stop crashing the volvo though......still has straight panels.... :worship:

The only change Volvo did to the front suspension on our AWDs was to make it a little bit higher. But the components are the same. Only the rear is self levelling.

AWD's use a modified 900 (or 700, not quite sure) series rear axle

yeah, they modded a 1065 diff from a multilink 960 axle and re-numbered it the 1165. Not sure what other bits they used yet, have some more readin to do.
