Would be interested to know how much sex that amount equates to. Is the rate based on quality or quantity, and which is normal for you!!!!LOL

If you've just paid over £200 for a RICA'd ecu for an 850 then you've overpaid. HLM are doing them brand new for £150...

Zooma,

Fantastic, £220 for a tune that we Retail for £150!!! You have got love ebay!
If Tony thinks it was somehow better or more "Genuine" than our cheap crap I would have to point out that it came from the same place!!!
Anyway I do hope you enjoy the tune, I hope it works OK for you, I'm sure your wife will reinstate your wedding rights in time.

Regards,
Hamish.

Assuming that is actually RICA of course from HLM.....baring in mind they are no longer RICA re-sellers.

Lets not re open that can of worms eh?, it's been well covered already.

Actually, the very ECU you have bought was for sale for £150 on another forum. No-takers, so it went to fleabay.

I'd rather chance buying it of ebay than actually paying direct for a "HLM Rica special".

I'd have got the ebay one to.
Even if the ones HLM are selling are RICA specials he was slagging RICA off not so long back!

Sorry think I was misunderstood, MTE are good. Three of my family have MTE maps, RICA are fine from what others have said but the RICA "specials" seem to be RICA software copied and sold cheap.
Even if its had a few changes made to it so it isn't the same as RICA I would question how someone who could previously map cars for £300 is now doing them for £150.
Have a look on other forums and search for HLM, should shine a little bit of light on the Volvo tuning scene...
