just wondered how many other 850 owners suffer with this?
symptoms are sqweeky bloody annoying plastic on the inside of the boot, around the boot window is the worst bit, normally only prominant when driving on rough road surfaces. i hear there is a fixing kit comprizing of some self tapping screws and some bracketing to hold it too, thing is ive got a dog, so i dont wanna waste 15 quid on it if it will soon break again from the dog leaning on it. anyone else fixed theres?

I had it on my first 850, they work well.

For some strange reason the T5 i have now has 5 X 4" self tappers in the panel

Im not complaining it holds it friggin solid aint no squeaks :B_thumb:

The repair kits are ok, I've had a couple now and I've not had any problems.

on my old 850 I used a lumps of wood as a spacers and some long round headed self tappers, worked well, cost nothing as was all bits found in shed, and is probably still holding to this day, as I regularly see it still driving around.

I have also fixed them using cable ties by drilling through the stand-off bits, threading long cable ties through, thread through door where the plastic clips locate, then thread through with back loosely in place, then pull cable ties gently till back is tight, then snip off all the tails that are hanging out, and poke end under boot trim

Just a pig, if you need to remove again to fix rear wiper.

Mine rattles and clonks so I think its the trim and boot lock catch.

Going to try some electrical tape on the boot latch.

Mine also has 2 self tappers in the trim lol

I had mine fixed by a garage several times, but it always came back. Gave up in the end. Must be a better way of fixing it. Expanding foam should do it !
