Ok car is 1995 850, without OBD II port in coin tray.

Driving along the motorway i heard aloud pop.

Limped the car home. Should be in work now !!!!! Great.

Seems a hose has blown off, so reattached it and car is fine. Bout obviously the engine light came on.

How can i reset it without paying a stupid amount of money

Ok, havent reset the codes yet

BUT

Car is working fine now except, when i warmed it up to boot it and make sure it's ok, it was boosting fine, except it's only boosting to about 1/3 of the way into the white, as before it was going almost to the end of white because of the RICA304. Is it still doing this becuase of the ECU light ?

Don't they only full boost in higher gears? And not as much in the lower?

Just thought just incase you were only going slow and then booting it.

Yes...because there is still a problem....,
If you blew a hose you will have a fuel trim problem, probably 2-3-X code so you will need to check this out....
There are other reasons too, which only your codes may tell you...IE why did the hose blow off...?.....
Reading the codes is, as has been indicated a easy exercise.....

I would expect your dumper is the cause of your loss of power..Either the spring is too weak or the pipe to the inlet manifold is leaking...
No one should mock you, we have all made errors in our time....

Fuel trim... http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/fuel-trim.html

I never had any problem on my old T5, but i guess the increased boost if forcing it open if the spring is weak.

Hummmmm.
