s80 hunting & cutting out

hi i have a s80 2000 2.9 it keeps hunting an cutting out i cant find any air leaks i know it has fly by wire throttle does this engine have idle flow vavle if
so could anyone tell me where to find it if not can anyone shed some light on other possable causes

checked the throttle housing butterfly as these build up carbon over time.

hi taken that throttle body off an cleaned houseing an butterfly with carb cleaner still no good thanks tho

not sur if your car has a Mass Air flow meter but it sounds like a MAF fault. My 850 did the same until the MAF was sorted. May well be worth a 'plug in' to diagnose any problem, start changing all 'suspect' bits & you could be in for a big bill.
