Auto kickdown

I've got a auto C70 and was wondering how long it should take to kick down when you boot it. Is there anything I can do to it or buy for it that will make it kick down faster?

Use the gears manually so that for example in town stick it in 2nd and when you floor it the response will be instant

Always found the kickdown on my 850 very instant, more so than alot of modern auto's I have driven, never felt the need to use the selector manually. Maybe the accelerator cable is out of adjustment if it is pre ME7?
