ok so i've just order some plasma gauges off ebay- voltage, AFR, boost and oil pressure. I'm not gonna have a problem fitting the first three, but was wondering if i would need an extra sensor for the oil pressure, or if i can tap off the original sensor. Thanks. Nick.

was there any clearance issues with your sandwich plate and the subframe Pete? - I thought about doing this as well (I've still to hook up my oil temp and oil pressure gauges) and thought there might be clearance issues with the sensors I have.. so have put off doing it at the minute.. lol!! I also thought about using one of these (with correct threads):

where are you thinking about fitting them Nick? - I've got mine in the spare din slot below my stereo:

Fletch has also done a very neat install in the centre vents.. I prefer the gauges as part of the dash - instead of on a pillar mount.. much more stock looking.. :)

Post some pics up once you get them fitted! :)

that's a nice fit Pangster, but only possible if you swapped the original stereo,

otherwise there's no room there since it's double din.

i also like it when they're in the central vents.

personaly i wouldn't sacrifice them,so that's why i put them on the A-pillar.:smirk:

but hey taste is personal :P

lol! - too true! :)

I swapped my headunit as I had my Pioneer DVD headunit sitting here gathering dust and wanted to listen to MP3 - so the next issue was deciding what to fill the spare din with! - easy choice really! :)

Pillar and dash mounts can look good if done well.. especially if the dash and pods are flocked:

Hi paul theres not much room but was a easy fit and theres no messing the only thing you have to remember is when you have a sandwitch plate fitted every time you change the oil filter just make sure its still tight (i didnt and pissed oil out all over) luckly i noticed it tho

Pangster really like the set up you have there, love those gauges to, unfortunately iv got my eye on a new double din pioneer head unit, so isnt an option. I'm fitting them up on the dash, but positioned over to the left (theres a nice flat strip where they can go) will be fitting them in 4 pods as below, but obviously with my plasma gauges. Maybe not to everyones taste, i will be sticking them down not drilling and reckon they'll look good. Will post some pics over the weekend.
