I have cracks / holes in the tubeing to a box in my engine bay. Is it important??? or is it just a cooling duct??

Thats a cooling duct for the ECUs, I guess that it won't be a problem but you would'nt want any water getting in just in case.

i agree.
water in there from the front of the car whilst driving in the rain could cause problems.
what i done with mine when i had my 850 t5, i sprayed it silver to match my inlet manifold
and also polished my intercooler pipes and it transformed the look of the engine bay 100%

if you do paint it then make sure its heat resistant as i did not think it would matter using normal silver paint and it flaked of after a couple of months so i had to redo it all again
