changing track rod end ?

anyone know how to do this ?
the offside wheel is loose and there is play in the track rod
if i feel inside the rubber gaiter i can feel some sort of loose joint or knuckle there rattling around


am i supposed to roll back the rubber ?
remove the clamp that goes aroudn the gaiter at the rack end ? It seemed pretty permanent to me.

any help would be appreciated

are you talking about the tie rods?(part of the steering)

yep the inner track rod though.. the bit that contains the ball joint underneath the boot


presumably you have to split the other ball joint first from the knuckle/upright
and then wing the rod off.. looks like with a 32" spanner or adjustable wrench

So you cv joint boots are broken? This would be the tie rod and I for got the piece thats on the wheel side. Sorry, I need to load up VADIS to be sure.
