Just got myself a KnN Paper type airfilter for my 2.5tdi. Are they quite useful, as in help stop lag/gain a small bit of bhp/torque? Every little helps lol.

Mine definitely feels smoother with a better throttle take up after I clean my ITG panel filter out.

A washable, reuable filter like a K+N that is a direct replacement for the standard air filter.

i think what he mans is a smoother pick up also the filter will be better for the air flow and the k&n will come with a million miles lifetime gaurentee

My car came with a BSR opti flow cone filter, I changed it back to the air box & then put in a K&N.........

Once the ETM was sorted I'm now back to the optiflow!

Makes a high whisle noise as it sucks cool air through the hose system!

Mean!

The K&N was a good bet tho! Worked just fine! Smoother than the paper guff it came with!

Who actually still buys thoes things? Honestly!

I'm glad that I come across this thread actually!

I have a S60 D5 (2005) and I want to get a K&N panel filter, but I don't want to order the wrong one by accident.

Would anyone be kind enough to provide a URL so I can order one?

Thanks very much
