Well you may remember i was having a journey to hull.

Well travelling along the M62, in the fast lane at about 70-75mph, some muppet infront of me swerves i think oh you plum, and suddenly i'm confronted with a stationary row of traffic. well with about 1 second of thinking time i must of only just got my foot on the brakes before i hit him.

So i hit a brand new astra in the rear shunting that into a merc in front. someone who was following us swrved to avoid us, clipped my rear off side smashed my light and he ended up in the barrier, only got minor scuffs to his car.

The Volvo is written off totally, the astra is so so, the lad in the astra was taken to hospital as his airbag didn't go off so he had a nice egg on his forehead.

ouch!!! You need to be really vigilant on a motor-way, they are so ££££ing busy nowadays, I rarely leave the inside lane!

Good luck in finding a replacement, there are a few around :D

Just goes to show how much of an accident these things can take, without too much of a mess.

Hope everyone was OK & good luck with your search for another one!

It looks very well for the shunt but apprently i managed to do £6000 worth of damage according to the bodyshop. Got a feeling it needs the whole front end rebuilding, and god knows what state the chassis is in. but the bodyshop said it can be repaired but would cost the £6000. so i'm assuming it's a Cat C total loss.

OMG, glad everyone is ok, motorway crashes are usually pretty bad because of the speed involved. Shame about your cat but at least you walked away and you can look for another one.
