where do i find my engine number?

i have a chasis number just under my windscreen under the bonnet but where is the engine number? am trying to buy a new axilery belt from parts for volvo. is the auxilery belt what they call the V belt?

mines a M reg 850 T-5 R auto with aircon. witch auxilery belt on parts for volvo is for my car?

going to change mine this weekend as its doing my head in squeeking all the time

Check out gsf mate,https://secure.gsfcarparts.com/shop/ search your car and belts n tensioners but in the keyword put ribbed...and if you look at the product code half are the same ;-)

All main dealers can get the engine number from your registration or vin number.

new belt may be different length from origional, there is a diagram of routing available from dealer on request IIRC
