cheers mate yeah there is many reasons iv done it.
it protects wires and pipes against corosion and damage,
it helps to look at the engine and trace pipes when you need to work on them,
and it looks blooody good and tidys it all up.

thats what i think anyway

Yellow would've been much better to look at keeping it in tune with the car colour,
Different though,

Go for what you like, I haven't done my new car yet but it will be getting done soon. You can just paint over the letters on the cover, once you've painted over them they just tend to blend into the background and you don't see them.

If your mate can't do it, let me know and I'll do it for you( I could use the money anway, lol).

another option is to replace factory hoses with braided lines and for those that you can't change then you can use overbraid hoses with coverclamps:

Overbraid lines/hoses:

This was my old t5r with all the chrome bits attached. There use to be a guy called Wootey on this forum who made all the bits. He still advertises some bits on ebay.
I sugest you try something like autoglym engine cleaner on your engine, it works a treat.

depending on how far you're going with engine dressing - then you might want to look into replacing the bolts with anodised versions as well (if you can get them in the correct size/pitch):

tbh, for all the money you've spent making your engine look blue and yellow, i would have got a strut brace(that actually does something) and just given the engine bay a good clean with some elbow grease. just my opinion.

well when i get a chance im going to go to town on it and scrub it clean to. strut brace is next on my list.

coming into some money again just before xmas and going to get it serviced, new filters all round, new timing belt, water pump, exhaust, rica and there is bubbly just started to happen down the side of the roof rail on the drivers side gona get that sorted to.
