Its a car I was thinking about, and I read the description of the g/box....its an 850 auto.

EVERYTHING OPERATES AS IT SHOULD BAR A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION SENSOR WHICH IS NOT AN MOT FAILURE BUT SOMETIMES MEANS THE ENGINE CHANGES GEAR AT THE WRONG REVS.

Having had endless problems with the auto gearbox on my T5 untill I stumped up the cash and had it completely overhauled I would say it is not the PNP switch. It could be one of many things such as engine speed sensor, road speed sensor, throttle position sensor and so on. My advice would be that unless you have deep pockets walk away and find one that works properly to start off with.

I think it is that btw, I sent me a pic (which I now cant bloody get!!) and it the same warning light as I had on my last one, a new inhibitor switch (pnp as well usually call them) sorted it fine.
