Im going to phone Awesome to see if they would give us a Discount on a VPC Club RR day.

Even if you dont put yours on the RR its still a meet up!

I phoned Awesome today, bad news i'm afraid.

The Next day for the RR Day isnt available till 10/01/09

They run every other week, so next available would be 24/01/09

We need a minimum of 15 cars actually running on the RR.

£35 = 2wd

£45 = 4wd

3 power runs each.

Provided with a Laminated print off.

15 CARS NEEDED TO DEFFO RUN OR ITS A NO GO GUYS.

IMHO wouldn't it be better to collect the deposits closer to the RR meet

Im not saying how you should arrange a RR meet but for me to pay you a deposit 3 months ahead of the RR is simple silly

I know you need to confirm places by Christmas so wouldnt it be better to bump this post say 24th november?

A deposit would show " commitment " to the RR day.

We dont want 10 guys leaving deposits and 5 or 6 that dont, but they promise to be there and dont turn up it'll spoil it for everyone else.

Awesome want to know ASAP that we will DEFFO have 15 CARS RUNNING or its just a waste of their / mine / and everybodyelse's time.

3 peeps have already payed or arranged to pay deposits so i dont see the problem !

very true its only £10 and if for some reason we dont get enough ppl you will always get your money back and im sure your not going to miss a tenner for 3 months
the way i look at it is £35 for the rr and a very good day out its too good to miss and you wont get a rr anycheaper unless you mate with the guy whos got one.

There is a lot of people who will agree to attend but when it comes to paying they seem to disappear

I would think asking closer to the date would be a lot better to judge on how many people will actually attend

Im also interested in coming to the RR but TBH I have no idea to what I will be doing next week never mind in 3 months time

Fair play then the best thing to do is give a date for when the deposits need to be in by but remember if awesome say E.G. by the 15th dec i would have the date two to three weeks before also remember it is giving ppl pleanty of notice so they can arrange to be there the way i look at it £10 isnt a lot of money and its just a way to prove you are actually intrested and keeping this post uptodate so every one can see it is the most important thing

Get ya deposits in ya tight arsed bunch, its a tenner to show the man that you are serious. I remember all to well the day at bruntingthorpe with about a million people saying they would be there and then me and wobbly dave turning up to run the car, a few other brave souls coming in the afternoon to watch, its so much hard work to organise these things to have no one show.

Please dont say its not hard work cos it is, i did the tatton meet last year and its proper stressful to do, so big round of applause to lee for making the effort, show him your support and get the tenners "rolling" in.
