Replacing the radiator fans is a nightmare!
I tried for an hour to get them out of the top of the car, taking more bits apart, jiggling them this way and that way... before resigning myself to raising the car, getting the engine crane out, supporting the engine, fighting with the engine mounts and the crossmember, having to hacksaw through a completely rusted jubilee clip, before finally lowering the pesky fans out of the bottom... in time for it to start raining!
Oh, and Salvo had kindly hacked off the multiplug on the replacement fans, so I had to solder the old one back in place, except that my dad's weedy soldering iron didn't get hot enough for the thick wire... so that's still to do!
Didn't hole the rad, though :)
