RWYB Avon Park 12/10/08 (weather permitting)

Hello all,

A few of us are meeting up at Avon park (Shakespeare County Raceway) on Sunday 12th October for a run what you brung day. Anyone not familar with these events, its basically a 1/4 mile drag strip where you can have as many runs as you would like over the course of a day. Think your car is quick? Have a go and find out how quick it is.

Total cost is £30, that's £10 for entry and £20 to run.

As well as the usual drag racing, it is also a good chance to meet up with some of us and have a chat and look around the cars. I know this is a volvo performance forum, but all cars are welcome. Standard cars, modded car, non volvos, etc. It would be nice to get a group going. Don't worry if you are thinking you will be shown up, its all just a bit of fun.

Sure :) I haven't done anything to my car since last time so i doubt i will be any quicker, but all good fun. We are aiming to get there for about 10:30. See you there.

Checked the weather and all good.( fingers crossed it stays that way eh)

Ran out of time to clean it so just look for the most minging T5 and that will be me :)

Will arrive about 10.

Dont forget your driving licence or a jumper to cover your arms.

Also make sure your battery is secure.. they are getting really hot on these things!
