I am planning to install an oil pressure gauge on my 1996 850 T5.
Does anyone know the thread size / pitch for the oil pressure sender unit.
Any advice on this is appreciated.
Thanks

Hello Ken,
:welcome: - I hope you enjoy your stay.
T5's don't suffer from low oil pressure. Sadly I am not certain therefore where you would plumb it in.

strangely enough the standard for oil pressure switches has until recently retained the old british size which was 1/8 bsp(british standard pipe) im not 100per cent on this but i know my missus bmw uses this thread and thats a mid nineties model so its possible its still the standard ,if you remove the sender and mesure the thread overall diameter will be, if its bsp, about 15mm(.383 inches) with a thread pitch of 28 tpi
